Well, Equestria does have two different set of railways with one being horse-drawn (an actual terminology used in 'Over a Barrel'), and the other being steam engine. So, it's not far off to show the idea that the country can produce and use coals back then.
3579366 What I meant was that in the original Fallout: Equestria - as well as every side story that was born from it - Equestria doesn't have natural coal deposits, so they imported it from zebra's. The major reason for the start of the war in Fallout: Equestria's universe was a feud regarding the trading agreements.
Saw this story on the FO:E Resource site, and it immediately sparked my interest. We don't often see people actively go against what the original story established, which is a brave move. I see a lot of potential for this story, and I'm already enjoying it. Your protagonist is likable, and you're using his abilities pretty well so far. I know this is a story I'll be watching for sure.
