SPARTAN IV's, the best of the best of the best... Yeah, right. Fireteam Ghost is an... above average team of Spartans. Will the skills this team has be enough to survive on a completly alien world? They're Spartans so probably... hopefully.

Thanks you just made my morning.
4626107 I try :P
They have no right to try them. And if I were the Spartans, I'd refuse to cooperate with the authorities and refuse to answer ANY questions until they released them and their armor (and their weapons if they got those too) and cancelled the trial, to the point of refusing food until they complied. They had no right to take the armor, either, or try to analyze it for their own purposes.
And how could they get the armor off in the first place? It's not possible,

To answer your question the two guards brought up the 'armor compression spell' which is just a fancy creative way of me saying, "Fuck it, they used magic!"
Next, the right to try them... I have no idea. I don't know squat when it comes to anything law related, other than don't do this or that, and with the Spartans assaulting royalty I think they would have a trial against them. Also, I think any government ever would analyze alien technology if they had the chance.
As for why the Spartans have been so passive, well it is a little fishy how these highly trained combative troops have made themselves look weak and powerless without their armor... or maybe they just are weak without armor. *shrugs shoulders*
4630011 ... The ponies also have no right to study the UNSC armor to use for themselves. That really grinds my gears as well, that they presume not only to deprive the Spartans' armor but to attempt to duplicate/understand it.

That was one of the ideas I had, but I felt it would of been over my ability to write. Introducing a huge enemy like the flood this early in the story makes me feel like I'm writting myself into a hole. Don't completly put the flood out of your head though, I've got tons of ideas for future plot lines and it's all up to if I think my writting ability is good enough to make them happen.

They were captured. Just like that... That's stupid.
Aren't Spartans genetically enhanced? Therefore it's NOT the armor? Sure the armor has upgrades like the active camo and stuff, but I'm pretty sure hat most of what the Spartans can do are due to modified genetics.
Now how did they end up in Griffonia?

Yeah, it's amazing how weak these Spartans are looking without there armor. Maybe they just forgot about their training in CQC and how their whole squad is based around stealth... or maybe it's something else entirely.
Suddenly, a slipspace tear opens and Jorge arrives to break them out of prison with his trusty loophole.
4779052 god that would be funny to see, especially with everyone's reactions to a much taller walking tank of a Spartan-II, but wait, wouldnt a whole corvette come along for the ride as well
4624589 we do
