If you enjoy Black Dawn and it's sequel Divided Souls, I suggest you read this blog as it goes into detail about some of the stuff I had planned for it.
If you enjoy Black Dawn and it's sequel Divided Souls, I suggest you read this blog as it goes into detail about some of the stuff I had planned for it.
Just in case you missed it, or perhaps liked Black Dawn without following me, this blog is for you;
The second story of The Song of The Unbroken is finally up and in the works!
I've been up all night working on this thing. Tired. Need sleep.
Things are really going to kick into gear with this story, so I'll hope you'll like it!
Since Black Dawn is finally finished and the next story is on the horizon, I thought it could be a good idea to recall what has happened so far in the story, retelling the events that has lead to where we are now, without revealing the things that still haven't been mentioned. It will start where the known timeline begins, with Dust to Dust. Which sucks by the way, hopefully I'll get to rewrite it one day.
Anyway, spoilers after the break, I guess.
In February of 2013, I started writing the story Ashfall. At the time I wasn't completely sure where it would go, but I had a lot of ideas of what to do and where to take it.
A long time has passed since then. The story changed name, changed cover art, and I almost gave it up halfway through.
Now, I'm finally here, and I'm proud to finally announce..
Black Dawn is finished!
The final chapter is here to end this first story in The Song of The Unbroken.
The serpents shall blot out the sun and your skin will burn in anguish
The world will darken and all shall despair the rising sun, a burning abyss of oblivion....
And the black dawn rises
Yes, after two years of work, the first part of The Song of The Unbroken is about to come to a close.
Black Dawn is almost over, two-three chapters left.
... which should've happened a long time ago, but I guess I was too thick to see it. Yesterday I was taking a walk in the morning through the woods, a lot of fog that morning, pretty damp. Anyway, during this walk I tried to think and really focus on what it is that's keeping me from writing. I mean, whatever it is, I need to deal with it. It's not that I don't want to write, I love to write and you guys know that, but when it's time I just can't get anything done. Which is kind of ironic since
Like most others, I love some good art, and there's no denying that the pony fandom has brought out some amazing artist. One of my favorites are Fox, you know, the guy who made the cover art from Black Dawn. Now, the reason I'm writing this blog is because I'd like to ask; is there anyone out there who'd be interested in making some artwork for me? Perhaps one of my followers are good at drawing, or knows someone talented who doesn't ask
The things I'm about to say in this blog may seem odd to some people. Maybe pathetic, pretentious even. Please bear with me though, as this is a blog that I feel I really need to write and probably should've done a long time ago. No, this is not an update on the progress of it, nor is it about me wondering what to do with it. No, this is different, but important. At least to me,
Quick little blog; I have a question that's been on my mind a lot recently, and I'd like some honest opinions here, please.
"I never wanted any of this..."
This image was drawn by the very talented FoxInShadow, and it looks amazing, don't you think?
So, after a few days of thinking as well as some advice from a good friend of mine, I have now changed the name of Ashfall. From this day forth, it will be called Black Dawn; a name much more fitting to not only the tone but also the content of the story. I hope this doesn't cause any problems for anyone that reads it.
Just a heads up, this blog will contain a few spoilers, mainly that of Dust to dust and possible some of the other HiE stories related to it. If you haven't read it and want to, or just doesn't want it spoiled, you might want to skip this. Otherwise, stick around and give me your opinions, please.
