First things first.  The last few lines of chapter 12 were bugging me.   I’m not sure what the best word to describe them is, just that they seemed wrong.  Also, I realized I forgot a very obvious faction that would almost certainly join Plan Sigma.  So I had to add a reference to them.  They’re extremely minor changes, hardly worth rereading.  Their sections just make more sense now.

I thought I'd share some of the behind-the-scenes work that's going on. The number of factions Dew and Rusty encounter is going to expand. By a lot. And that's ignoring the faction they just killed off. I decided to throw together a chart detailing what these factions think of each other, just so I'd have something to reference once the factions start interacting.

Well, here it is. Rusty's deepest secret. The reason I knew I had to change this fic's rating from T to M. Along with killing off Rusty's neighbor back in chapter 1, this was one of the first plot points I ever decided to include.
And a surprise guest as well! Wasn't initially planning on including any of the Mane 6, even if she's just a Mirror Pool duplicate, but I'm glad I did. Pinkie Pie is ridiculously fun to write!

Hey all,
I reached a decent stopping point in chapter 9, but I decided the chapter was too short to end it there. So I kept going, only to realize my end-of-chapter goal would turn it into the longest chapter I've written so far! I'm making good progress (getting rid of Ema certainly helped; I no longer have to open a thesaurus twice per sentence!) but the length of the chapter means there'll be a larger gap between uploads. It should be worth it though.

Well, wrists are healing nicely and I'm ready to start writing again. It's kind of odd, I thought I'd be able to crank out a bunch of content while I was off work, but I didn't have the drive to do anything until I got back to my regular schedule! So despite having a lot less free time now, I'm more inclined to spend it writing instead of killing time on YouTube or whatever.

So the next chapter is going to be delayed, but not for any reason I expected. I actually managed to break BOTH my wrists last week and typing any significant amount is an enormous pain. My elbows are currently included in the casts, but I'm told after surgery Wednesday the casts will be much smaller. We'll see, but I should be able to start writing again in earnest once I'm off the Med-X
Lesson learned: roller skating is not as easy as it was when you're 10 years old!

Rusty and Dewdrop wound up in a slightly different place than I had intended, but I think it's going to make more sense once they start moving again.
