Hi all,
I've reached the end of chapter 4, but like before, I'm going to wait a few days to release it so I can make sure it ties into chapter 5 well enough.
Well. Rusty is turning out to be even scummier than I had been thinking. I'm kind of surprised myself at how chapter 4 ended, I sure didn't plan it this way. I'm actually having to push back some of the plot into later chapters than I thought it would be. But honestly I'm pretty happy having to do that, it gives me more time to explore the characters, rather than the setting. It's odd, just by having a goal for Dewdrop and Rusty to hit, I'm able to fill in the blanks while getting there with more than I had ever planned! I find it fascinating to see them develop a personality, at least in my own mind. Whether I'm able to properly convey that into the fic is another matter...
And we're finally going to see combat pretty soon. It's been a while, and what's FoE without some fighting?
