    Caught up!

    Hey all,

I finally finished reworking the chapters of Mothership Eta I had previously published, and I'm now ready to continue putting new stuff down! I'll admit progress was slow; it's much less exciting to edit than it is to create. There were a couple of pieces of advice that stuck in my mind as I was working:

    Hey all,
It's not exactly one year since I started posting on this site, but close enough. I wanted to share my thoughts on everything that's changed between then and now.

Oops. Or, learning vocabulary with Tunneling Carp!

I have discovered that the word platitudes does not mean what I thought it did. Oops. Went ahead and changed that. We'll just put that down to equine mistranslation of divine words...:twilightsheepish:

Hey all,
It's been a while, hasn't it? I got into a bit of a slump when it came to writing. There were a few things I had to take care of that really interfered with working on the story. But I'm back, and in a good position as well!
I was originally going to make Chapter 14 involve two factions. The way I had the factions planned out would have made for a good pairing: similar motives, opposite execution. But as so often happens, what I ended up writing lent itself to a chapter break where I wasn't expecting it. And the better news is, I'm back enough in the swing of things that I now have a rough outline of what I want to happen in 15! That was something missing when I started 14, which is part of the reason it took so long.
And I promise, there'll be more exciting things than walking and talking coming up soon. I realized I've drifted kind of far away from the essence of Fallout. Worldbuilding, discovery, it's all part of the Fallout experience. But really, what's Fallout without combat? Coming soon!
