No, I hadn’t forgotten, but I have some explaining to do regardless.

Hey guys. I know it’s been a while since chapter 16 came out. More than a month, in fact. I had to take some time to think about which ideas I did want to work with and which I did not. At the same time, I also had to catch up on episodes. After having my heart broken by the finale, I got to thinking last night, and this morning, while finishing the chapter, I made a decision.
So after Chapter 17 gets some approval from Shachza, you’ll get a hell of a chapter.
After last week’s surprise release of Chapter 15, I’ve been hard at work on Chapter 16. Lemme tell ya folks, this one is probably going to be a hell of a long one. Penny’s dream segment, co-starring Book and Luna, at the start took more than 3600 words alone... to say nothing of a major plot hook that takes place at the end of it the dream. Much excitement.
Mein gott! A wild Sevi appeared!
Has hell frozen over?
Nah.
So I owe the lot of you an explanation. See Chapter 15 has been sitting partially finished since... *checks notes* May, and it was started in February. In my defense, I had a lot of stuff going on.
Many of you who've followed the Alchemist's Heart are probably familiar with my interludes, but for those who aren't, I'll explain. When I need to skip a significant amount of time—especially between major arcs—where some plot relevant stuff happens that I want to reference later while not developing into full scenes, I make an interlude chapter. In the Alchemist's Heart, these interludes consisted of Silver Script's journal entries, in addition to correspondence exchanged with others.
So recently, I commissioned the artist Saxopi, a friend from an online community elsewhere on the net, to do an art of Penny. I gave them a few references for both Penny, as well as some cosmetic descriptors/specifications, namely that her hammer was basically as large as she was, that she had a blue crystal ring, and that she had a few knives floating in her magic. Even gave visual references for the knives and hammer.
Even though you guys are still waiting on Chapter 12 of A Silver Thread of Fate, just wanted to let you all know that Chapter 13 has entered the queue for editing. That’s right. Chapter 13 has been finished a week after the completion of Chapter 12.
I just hope you all enjoy Penny’s first hunt when you all finally get to it.
Incidentally, plz send help.
Things are still kinda crazy in my life right now, but in the last two weeks, I've managed to finish up two chapters of A Silver Thread of Fate. Chapter 11 is currently just waiting for some confirmations from Shachza and then it'll be good to post. I'll be going over chapter 12 myself tomorrow morning before class. Suffice to say, we've drawn to the end of story arc two once these two are posted. Now that I've laid the groundwork, I can finally go into the fun adventure-y stuff, and
Good news, folks. Chapter 10 is almost finished. Gotta maybe tie up the chapter in a way that leads into our next major story event, something that definitely never happened during the Alchemist's Heart. Can't guarantee a release this week, but it's what I'm aiming for.
Here's looking forward to the most terrifying moment of Penny's life.
I may come off as crude and unnecessarily harsh, but I’m a bat pony, not a bad pony. We all have our reasons for behaving the way we do, so I hope you all don’t unnecessarily prejudge her to be like that prat of princess, Aqua Regia.
