Farmer Bruener Research Break - Covering ground at Disney · 9:56pm Apr 23rd, 2023

With as much pre-research I did before my Disney/Universal research trip on the cheap, I missed one of the most important parts: After the break — Getting From Here To There in Orlando

Farmer Bruener Field Research at Disney World. Honest. · 3:03am Mar 30th, 2023

Settle down, kids. Grandpa went to Disney World and he’s got slides! Technically, this was research for several upcoming chapters in Farmer Bruener Has Some Ponies, but it’s not tax-deductible (darnit) because it cost a mint. I’ve got it broken down into several parts over the next few weeks: Planning vs. Reality (this one), Photos (over on Facebook), Transportation, and Parks I, II, and III. (those are Roman Numerals for you children).

2/21/23 Bridge Troll Chap 7 and headed to Disney World for research. · 5:28am Feb 22nd, 2023

What.  It’s research. Honest.  For Farmer Bruener's almost completed chapter. I promise next week while I’m in Magic Kingdom and Universal’s Islands of Adventure to take notes. Maybe buy a wand for an upcoming spot in Bridge Troll.  Also going to see about touching base with other authors (No, I’m not buying any of you Disney tickets, but probably lunch...)

Happy Independence Day Through Time Travel - Fast Forward · 4:34pm Jul 1st, 2022

Ye gads, time flies. Once again we have come to that time of year when we drive Japanese cars to watch parades and eat Italian food sold out of trucks and wind up watching Chinese fireworks while celebrating our freedom from British tea taxes. (among other things)  Originally, I had intended Farmer Bruener Has Some Ponies to be set at this time of year because that’s when the Midwest is most active, but that was

Author plug, sample from Last Nightguard, and new chapter in Farmer Bruener upcoming · 6:34am Dec 6th, 2021

A lot to cover, so let’s start with the plug: Viking ZX is a published author with a Writer’s Toolbox column that I’ve found quite useful. He also wrote the YA novel Axtera - Banking and Finance about a very industrious dragon which is well worth picking up.

New Bruner chapter tomorrow morning - Plus sneak peek of Knight and Dei · 4:20am Jul 19th, 2021

A couple of things in short order: I've got a new Farmer Bruener chapter coming out tomorrow morning, Estee would like post cards in the worst possible way (lit.), it's Shadowmane's birthday, and I'm still writing. Oh, and alive. (really, the first sort of implies the second,

Endof NaNoNoWriMo, Reading from Illia, Spanish translation, and new Bruener chapter · 5:36pm Dec 5th, 2020

Ok, since I’m too lazy to put out blog posts as I find out stuff, a number of things have piled up. I have a new story reading by the amazing Illia Leonov, the end of NaNoNoWriMo, some Spanish translations of some of my stories by Spaniard Kiwi, and a new chapter of Farmer Bruener which I’m just putting out now. Oh, and a sneak peek into Substitute Librarian below the

Farmer Bruener Chapter upcoming and Kurtherian writing practice · 5:26am Jun 9th, 2020

Sometime tomorrow morning, I’m posting another chapter in Farmer Bruener Has Some Ponies, which I believe you will enjoy. After all, it has Blake Shelton in it, and everybody loves him. I’m also including a snippet of my non-pony story practice, since I’m messing around to see if I can write a story in the Kurtherian universe. It’s just doodling now, but who knows.

National Unicorn Day - With Bruener Sneak Peek · 1:48am Apr 10th, 2020

Princess Celestia and Princess Luna (and Admiral Biscuit) would like to remind you to have a safe day, wash your hooves, wear your masks, and be careful. It's dangerous to go alone, so don't forget to take a unicorn with you. Just be aware that having a unicorn as a passenger comes with certain interruptions in your schedule.

It's the end of the month, so I plan on dropping the latest chapter of Farmer Bruener on Friday, then another Naughty Bits on the Leap Day. One involves golf with unexpected surprises, the other bedroom golf with some unanticipated wobbles too, so I'll include a sample after the break.

Farmer Bruener new chapter soon - Also need pilot advice · 7:09pm Sep 23rd, 2019

I've about got Chapter 26 of Farmer Bruener Has Some Ponies ready to publish with maybe a few tweaks left. My problem I've hit is Chapter 27, since I've been out of the private aviation business since 1983, and I no longer have the lingo. I have the charts, and the
