I feel bad letting this story idle for so long, but the inspiration just isn't there right now for bridging from the previous chapter into my ideas for the final ~3 chapters. I know how I want it to end... it's just that middle part now for getting there.

This one took a while. As blocked as I was with getting ideas rolling, I'm actually very pleased with how it turned out. Hope y'all are as well. Expected it to be a very short chapter, but at ~5,500 it's the longest to date.

Just a bit more review and smoothing, then I hope to drop it in the morning.

Still haven't done much with chapter 4 yet. I have a number of ideas for things to come in later chapters, but having a bit of block getting this "day about town" started.

Did get some inspiration last night to start on a drawing of a scene from chapter 3. Just a few hours of sketching, but there's a certain warmth to the "sketchy" phase of pictures like this, I feel, so wanted to share the early WIP. Spoiler-ish, so link instead of direct pic.

I am back to writing now, though. Chapter 3 is well under way.

Had a bit of a gaming diversion the last few weeks (muh Monk on Diablo 3 -- working on clearing GR62 solo now, for anyone else who plays, heh). But that drive is slowing down now and the creative side is back to needing a release. So... soon. ;)

While walking, an idea slammed me for what will probably be chapter 4. Which, of course, has delayed my progress slightly on 2 while I mapped it out. I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it, though. ;)
