Howdy, y'all! It's the first of NaNo, and I wanted to wish all my fellow NaNo campers good luck! I know I'll for one need it... I found a dusty cassette recording of 7 year old me from nearly a decade ago singing "God Bless the USA" in the kitchen at my old house.

And I found a RadioShack cassette player in the same box I pulled from storage.

Also, I now have a pile of blank, unrecorded cassettes.

I'm no longer able to hit those high notes. And yes, I was singing along to myself because why not.

Picking up from the Connie Francis post I did on FIMFiction (https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/676681/record-offer-connie-francis-1985), I figured I would post a video of my copy of *Sentimental Favorites* one of the as-seen-on-TV albums that were discussed in the video showing an offering of Francis' records.

You have found a shell containing a Scotch C-90 cassette tape cover. As you find out, it bears NO resemblance to the actual product. Things get really frustrating from there. Originally, it was a pre-recorded, mass-manufactured tape; turns out somebody took some masking tape, placed it over the record holes, and proceeded to tape over the original content.
