After scrapping the old plans to just directly adapt Pony-Me's entire plot to original fiction and instead rewriting everything from the ground up, it's only taken three months to hit 10k words across six chapters.

Short to say, based off of that alone, I'm pretty sure that the original fiction adaptation is gonna be quite a bit longer than the OG Pony-Me, even when counting the guest chapters and bonus bits such as the April Fools' chapters.

Yes, my interest in MLP has only been getting smaller for quite a while now. I'm mainly still here because I like reading fan works more than watching the show, and also because I just like the community in general.

Though the stories aren't tagged as such, everything is currently under unofficial hiatus.

Really haven't been all that active on here lately, have I? One round of updates that never even hit Worlds Reset, and suddenly I'm off again after publishing a 250 follower special.

What I'm saying is, don't mind me while I adapt Pony-Me to original fiction. Working on the 3rd chapter as of today.

I took the time to copy over the main chapters (excluding bonus chapters, alternate endings, fan-written chapters, authors notes, etc) and export the entire thing into an epub format.

From there, I exported the ebook to Microsoft Word through Calibre to do some post-processing fixes to the thing, including tidying up the cover and layout, and resizing certain text elements to better fit on the page. One quick export back through Calibre, and the ebook was finished!

Give or take a few minutes, of course. Greenwich Mean Time is the best I can do for a universal timestamp, and GMT 6:00 AM is equivalent to MST (Mountain Time) 12:00 AM, which is typically when I tend to publish.

Though it hasn't been published yet, I now consider the final chapter to be complete. The epilogue serves largely as a collection of "snapshots" into the future beyond the final chapter, and will come complete with the full collection of the story's chapter name subnarrative.

Sorry, I don't have much to post this time around. I've just been too busy for much. My best bet would be to try and steer Pony-Me's completion to that day, though I'm not sure whether or not I'd be capable of doing so, especially with some recent setbacks I've had.

Restored and backed up (most of) the deleted files to a spare 1 terabyte hard drive I use specifically for backup purposes. Most text documents are fine (thank the stars for that), but most of the video and pictures that I had are either corrupted or just overwritten entirely.

Good thing most of the images were memes that I just downloaded off Discord. Video I'm gonna be a bit salty about tho 'cause I had a video of my dog playing with a ball. I can always record a new one though, I guess.

Sorry, all progress on the pony-me OC special has been wiped.

I am trying my best to get everything back.

EDIT: the recovery program is performing well. I am doing an emergency backup dump to an SD card. Unfortunately, the OC special is lost to time, as it was overewritten entirely by a windows setup file downloaded during the factory reset process.
