Hey all. I'm currently working on a saga that centers around ponies in the New Lunar Marine Corps/Lunar Navy, and the world it is written ties in with a few of my other stories in a combined universe. In it, the Lunar Republic serves more as a part of Equestria's branches and isn't at war with Celestia or the "Solar Empire" (which doesn't exist in this universe). I'm looking for new readers as well as constructive criticism when it comes to the saga I'm writing, and this group seemed like the perfect place to sort of showcase them for those who might be interested and perhaps get a few new opinions on them!

Certainly an interesting idea, so would that mean that the Empire and Republic separated peaceably then, or did the conflict still occur, but in the past?

It occurred in the past, however, that was the Lunar Rebellion, when Luna became Nightmare Moon. The only real modern conflict between the Equestrian Army/Air Force and Lunar Navy/Marines (since the Lunar Republic is basically just the second half of the armed forces) is pretty much competitive banter, like with the real life branches of the U.S. Like I said, the Solar Empire never existed in my writing universe. If anything, it goes a bit along with the show's universe but takes liberties for technology and the timeline (which my universe diverges after S4).

It seems interesting, I will give it a read when able. My theories actually seem more like the Lunar Rebellion taking it's place in the spot of our (USA) Revolution. Thus making the British out to be the Solar Empire and post war the colonies into the New Lunar Republic.
