Ok, so say that the Mane Six and every other pony lived on Earth. What would their names be? I mean, like usual human names that fit in with everyday society. If MLP never existed and you met a girl named Twilight Sparkle in this world, you would probably think that her parents hated her. Let's pretend that. I'm bored, so everypony, start thinking up regular 'ole humanoid names for the ponies.

Also, I'd just like to add this - that Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Lyra, Trixie, Lily and Daisy are probably the most regular names in the whole series. Just saying.

Oh, and if anyone says Tara for Twilight, you're getting slapped. So no smart-asses.

Rainbow Dash - Roxanne "Roxie" Delilah
(I'm guessing that the Dash would classify as her last name in the real world. You guys can see it however you want it. The name fits though, seeing how Roxie is kinda tomboyish. Delilah would make her feel embarrassed but it goes nice.)

Rarity - Regina
(Ok, yes, this is a somewhat reference to one of my other favorite shows but the name fits because it's proper-sounding and all and Rarity is all about that so whatever.)

Vinyl Scratch - Victoria "Vick" Simmons
(Ok, in this case, I think Scratch is actually her last name. And Victoria is the only V name for a girl I know so yeah. Besides, Vick is sorta a cool nickname.)

Octavia Philharmonica - Olivia Phelps
(Sounds classy. Nuff said.)

Sweetie Belle - Sophia Belinda
(Super pretty and fits nice~ I was considering Symphony seeing how her talent is obviously singing but that sounds a bit odd in my opinion. Belinda is just really pretty and works well.)

AJ= Jack Apple. Easy peasy.

RD= Isabelle "Dash" Ritter. I figure giving her a pompous sounding first name would prompt her to use a nickname more often. That, and she's usually a wingman in my stories, like David "Race" Bannon is to Benton Quest.

Twilight=Twila Shields.

Fluttershy=Chylene Hutchison. Probably the one I stray the farthest from their canon name. But even then, it's at least in the ballpark, and keeps the spirit of the character in it.

Rarity= Rarity Belle. I figure her mom was a hippy and gave her an odd name. Like Blanket Jackson.

Pinkie= "Pinkie" Diane Pie. Since they actually used Diane as her middle name in the show, IIRC, that's what I usually roll with. Though Pinkie is referred to on occasion.

Bifröst (Dash's dad) - Randall Bridges. The Bifröst is a rainbow bridge between Earth and Asgard, so I thought that connection should be made here.

That actually sounds like a pretty badass name. If Twilight shares the Armor family name, you could imagine their family having some kind of military history (such as Shining Armor being Captain of the Guard) or maybe they own some kind of company that deals in armor of some kind.

I can imagine Teresa Armor being the rich Heir to "The Armor Corporation" or some nebulous sounding big business thing that deals in technology or something. Since technology is the closest thing we have to magic. Cue her being groomed to take over the company but her parents wanting to make sure she makes friends in the process.

Meanwhile her brother is Iron Man's sober twin who defends the Earth from supernatural threats.
