Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Larry Gales, Oscar Pettiford, Sir George Shearing, Bill Evans, and, of course, Thelonious Monk. Bebop, baby. The real jazz.
Ok so i have a highly electronic music basis, that i listen to alot.
Personally i like, Dubstep, Trance, House, Dance and club music.
Dubstep artists i like: DJPon-3 Skrillex Feed me Trolley Snatcha
House Musicians I like : Archie Kaskade Madeon ( I think this Counts) Porter Robinson
Dance Artists : Avicii Deadmau5 Sub focus DJPon-3 (again due to the earlier Trance and progressive tracks that he did a while back)
Club Music is: Archie (I also really love his earlier work) Fatboy Slim Approaching Nirvana (great group!)
I think thats all of them hope this answers your question This doesn't mean to say that i don't like other acoustic music as well because i have a collection of "Ludocivo Einaudi" as well as "Mumford and sons" and other acts like "show of hands". as well as a couple of Brony musicians on my Ipod like Mandopony and Matthew Mosier.
I can also be very adaptive to other various genres as well. but the ones i have stated above are the ones i most enjoy.
814408 The problem with your list is that all those artists count under one section (Dance/Dubstep/House/Trance), and there is a limit of three per section. The Club Music can count under Electronica, so I'll add you there. Also, "DJ PON-3" would count as Brony Music.
Just in case you're not clear:
Skrillex Feed me Trolley Snatcha Archie Kaskade Madeon Porter Robinson Avicii Deadmau5 Sub focus
829974 Asking me to choose my top 3 is very very hard indeed, i love all of those artists just as much, however with regret to the other artists i have chosen.
1) Archie 2)Skrillex 3)Deadmau5
I hope this helps, I originally did the list using my iPod, so i looked at where the artists came under. Sorry if there was any confusion.
Also are you Sure DJ-Pon-3 counts as Brony Music, it's just that besides the name, there really isn't that much to link him to bronyism, sure there are a couple of tracks that have brony names, but mostly they are unrelated. I mean i see what you mean, but i wasn't sure.
842689 I looked at the name and I made an assumption. Besides, the likelihood of creating a name that just happens to be the fandom DJ name for Vinyl Scratch is very slim. This person had to do research somewhere. If you can give me evidence against it, go right ahead. Otherwise, it's the best place for it -- especially considering you already have your top 3 Dubstep artists.
This doesn't mean to say that i don't like other acoustic music as well because i have a collection of "Ludocivo Einaudi" as well as "Mumford and sons" and other acts like "show of hands". as well as a couple of Brony musicians on my Ipod like Mandopony and Matthew Mosier.
If you have other genres/artists you like, feel free to put them here. I'm not restricting to the genre you like the most -- all genres you listen to.
844504 On the one hand that i do like other genre's as well, mostly i think i can stick with the Electronic music mentioned previously seeing as it takes up 80% of the music i listen to if not more.
I understand that the name is MLP based, its just that a lot of the songs themselves have no relation. Look at the names of most of the songs on the channel and you may see what i mean.
And the reason why i have my 3 artists chosen is because i discounted Vinyl on account of it being considered Brony music, i just figured not to debate, it's your thread after all.
846072 Argue with me all you want. I know next to nothing about this artist, other than what you've told me. You know what? I'll make a thread here, and I'll see what the other people here think or know. Maybe they can shed some light on the situation. 853434 Mega Man. Never heard of it. (BTW, Never Heard Of It is the name of an actual band. True story.) The only problem with your list is that I have arranged that House, Drum and Bass and all the others of the like have been put in one category. So choose the top three out of those two genres.
I really don't want to though. If you say that, DJ Pon-3 is brony Music, i am willing to agree with you, because this is your thread. Your rules. It was just my thoughts on the subject.
Anyway, are my 3 chosen artists better than the last choices i made?
853814 Never heard of Megaman? Really? It is a pretty famous video game franchise by Capcom. And the music in those games is always amazing, let me tell you!
As for my top 3: 1) Pendulum 2) Netsky 3) Daft Punk
I listen to a bunch of indie rock. My favorite band is Arctic Monkeys because they have such a diverse style. I also like The Strokes and Phoenix. I guess this would be considered Modern Rock or should there be an Indie Rock category?
901325 Re-organizing to fit with the genres given, here's what you get:
Modern Rock Third Eye Blind Foo Fighters Gaslight Anthem Blink 182 The Get Up Kids Code 4-15 Man Overboard The Story So Far Motion City Soundtrack Alkaline Trio Senses Fail Linkin Park Hollywood Undead Limp Bizkit Transit The Fray Angels and Airwaves
Electronica Daft Punk Does It Offend You, Yeah?
Industrial Nine Inch Nails Mindless Self Indulgence
Rap Eminem
Other Gorillaz
Metal Death! Death! Die! The Damned Things CKY
I will add you for everything except Modern Rock. You need to choose three of them.
980907 First off, only a max of three. Second, I'm sorry to say that I have to disagree with you (for now) to make extreme metal it's own category. You are the only one to suggest it as of now. If there are more people that suggest it in the future, it will be added. But for now, combine metal and extreme metal, and choose your top 3.
984388 Sorry. Also, I can't find anything on "(just go with it)". 984762 I don't know what category Radiarc would go in. I'll ask the group. I'm having a hard time finding things on the Evening Star. The Aviator is hardcore, meaning it falls under modern rock. It will go there.
"(just go with it)". was a part of the complete sentence, I had Thermostatic and DeathStars(Just Go With It) be cause I put DS under Synthpop(which they are not), dont worry about it
988576 Send me a youtube link for Evening Star. Also, for the Aviator, all I could find was this. Is that right? Or is it the short-lived British rock band that I am finding on Wikipedia?
1845380 That would probably be labeled Soundtrack, but usually an artist doesn't stick with that genre . . . Give me an example, whatever you're thinking of.
Also, blah blah I'm the king of all things pedantic 9_6
well sry for being dumb but genre would S.O.A.D. fall under
723384
That would be modern rock.
I put you in the list.
Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Larry Gales, Oscar Pettiford, Sir George Shearing, Bill Evans, and, of course, Thelonious Monk. Bebop, baby. The real jazz.
724435
You notice there is a 3 artist limit per genre.
Hmmm...A little bothered that there is no 'Indie', 'Punk' or 'Alternative' categories.
735537
All of those are sub-genres, and fall under the "Modern Rock" category.
724435
Notice that there is a 3-artist limit.

Well, i really have no idea of genres. I just hear a song and if i like it liste to it further. I never cared so much about genres.
But when i think about it, it seems that a mainly listen to classical/orchestral and Brony Music.
In generaly my favorite musicians are Radiarc, Evening Star and The Aviator.
984388
Sorry.
Also, I can't find anything on "(just go with it)".
984762
I don't know what category Radiarc would go in. I'll ask the group.
I'm having a hard time finding things on the Evening Star.
The Aviator is hardcore, meaning it falls under modern rock. It will go there.
987289 Is instrumental a own genre? If that is so, i would put Radiarc in that.
Evening Star made songs like "Octavia", "Aloe & Lotus" and "Solstice".
987289
"(just go with it)". was a part of the complete sentence, I had Thermostatic and DeathStars(Just Go With It) be cause I put DS under Synthpop(which they are not), dont worry about it
