TRSL-047
During Equestria's war against a vicious enemy, two reservists find themselves brought together by more than just circumstance.

RSL-047 is the codename of an ancient lighthouse built on the northeastern coast of Equestria, just past the jagged peaks of the Yaket Range and across the sea from Bugbear Territory. Out protagonist, Sundial is here to be a standing guard of the lighthouse, she and her newest companion, Compass.

The life in the lighthouse is like you would expect, boring. The fog around said structure is also not helpful with the mood. It is in this condition that a ray of sun shone not from the sky but from within, the two mares after many months finally fell in love with each other starting something beautiful knowing that all around them a raging war was continuing.

We don’t know much about the war, basically nothing in reality. We do know that the enemy is vicious and dangerous but that’s about it. The story continues on with a masterful use of the bare ambient around it, the lighthouse and its interns are at best minimal but the author does a wonderful job of making the reader focus more on what they mean instead of what they are.

We approach the end of the story where we see what seems to be a ship attack the lighthouse, they didn’t see it coming except for the rockets that almost killed them. They jumped from the top, into the water, scared but alive. Then from the fog, a blackness darker than the water arose, a bloodthirsty blackness.

The author does a masterful work in enticing the audience into believing that everything will go right, and they will have their happy ending. The grim realization of what reality is grips at one’s heart like a cold steel trap. This not only grants us a heartbroken finale but a melancholic one too.

For the reader, the story will magnetize you to it, most likely it will glue you to the monitor especially when you finally understand and feel the dread coming from it. All for it to be thrusted on you at the speed of sound packing most likely a 200 kilos of TNT worth of power on it.

And now, The SCORES.

Core Idea: 10/10 Very wonderful, and imaginative, bravo.

Pacing: 10/10 The pacing is wonderfully extrapolated and thought like a spider web, wonderful and with powerful meaning behind it.

Grammar: 10/10 No errors were found by me, the descriptions are top notch and manages to give the whole story a delightful yet dreadful atmosphere.

Total score: 10/10 A masterpiece very few can write, something that will remain with me for a long time. Be proud of it and wear it as a proud human should. With your head high you did good.
