We'll have to wait and see, but the fact that they started fact-checking and enforcing existing rules on BOTH sides of the aisle makes me hopeful. That alone is MAJOR, and a very welcome, improvement.

Billionaires are billionaires because they spend their entire life with a single goal in mind - to gather more wealth than it's possible to spend. Otherwise they would be single-billion-guys enjoying their wealth on a life-long vacation.

So I'm sure Elon just wants it for the massive politicial influence, and now it's just a question how he will monetize it. Not every favor is paid in cash. Future will tell.
