The Last Problem is basically the first episode done wrong. So many plotholes scattered around.

The first episode done wrong was The Beginning of The End and the decision for the Royal Sisters to retire for no good reason and foist their duties onto Twilight when she already has her own life and duties in Ponyville, along with bringing King Sombra back when he was reformed in the comics and making him a haughty, short-sighted cartoon villain.
