I have been thinking and occurs to me 4 possible scenario that can happen in this movie
1) Timber is a summer romance, nothing serious
2) Timber acts as an idiot and twilight rejects it
3) Timber acts as an idiot with twilight, flash comes out to defend it, and begins the stupidity of the flashlight again
4) Timber and flash fight by twilight, she is bored and rejects them (I hope this happens)

I can already imagine Timber fans coming up with the classic "He can be improved if he becomes part of the main cast!".

Back on topic, it's sad that in the main show the writers managed to insert possibles love interest for two of the Mane 6 without having to actually use the word love, having the two character having a lot in common. And yet, when it comes down to Twilight, Hasbro seems to take the worst examples possible to make it sound like a crappy pair.

If those two things can happen, order can be restored and humans can be phased out of the My Little PONY franchise....with the possible exception of a retro G1 special where REAL humans were inserted into stories but still, keep humans completely out of FiM.

The truth with these characters is that the writers have no interest in making a memorable or even likable character for a ship, they just want you to like the ship itself, so to that end they produce unimaginative and boringly idealized male specimens for Twilight to have a crush on for no reason other than to have a romance plot. I don't even think they take it seriously to be honest, they just want it in there.
