If you want to add a new character to this story, do it here. Take an original character of your creation or your interpretation of a canon or fanon character that hasn't been mentioned yet and fill out the following format. The Council will get your character into the appropriate reference documents.

Useful things to know when making a character:
- Positions/Departments
- Main Story Character Roster
- Nocturnal Thunder Chain of Command
- The technological level of Trinity varies by race. Generally, think "fantasy steampunk." Read the lore entry on your race ...of choice for more information.
Rank System:
- Marine ranks are based off the USMC ranks.
- Civilians (non-marines that don't help with the physical running of the ship) without combat skill are ranked as "Civilian."
- Civilians with combat skill are ranked as "Specialist." Higher ranks may have the "Staff" or "Chief" prefix.
- Non-marines that crew the ship (meaning: has a major part in the running of it) are classified as Officers.
> They belong to one of five departments: Flight, Engine, Medical, Provisions, or Logistics
> They have four ranks within these departments: Petty, Lance, Master, and Chief
> If two characters of this type have the same rank, add a prefix such as "First" or "Second" to clarify who has the ........higher rank. There cannot be multiple characters of this type with the exact same rank.
> Example Ranks: Petty Engine Officer, Master Flight Officer, Third Lance Logistics Officer

Certainly! There are no limits, as long as doesn't violate what lore has already been established. As a matter of fact, a fair number of the Thunder's marines are mercenaries.

One thing:
Having a single unicorn use an EM-30 all on his own is OP as well as unrealistic. They're rather heavy after all. Just make him a partner.

Personality: Testosterone driven, gun toting badass only interested in the money and adrenaline.
Biography: Stronger than most minotaurs, Arnold lives to spill blood and make money. He has little story to tell and even less patience, bringing many ponies to give him a wide berth. He isn't afraid of battle or death, as the adrenaline brings him thrill. He prefers weapons he must carry with both his arms, carrying two if he must, and is quite a fan of the spray n' pray method, shouting at the top of his lungs and dropping corny one liners.

Biography: A unicorn who's special talent was fire magics, Fireball earned his nickname pretty easily. While not a full on pyromaniac, he does have a bad habit of lighting small things on fire when he's bored, which is often. He is too eager to engage in battle and his superiors insist that he's going to end up dead one of these days if he keeps it up, but then again, luck has been on his side so far.

I'm back!! And I just realized I never re-posted my characters from the original forum. I'll get the others re-posted soon but this is the one I most concerned with since I claim him.

Character name: Lethe (also known as Phobetor)

Location: unkown

Role/Duty/Occupation: Spy/infiltrator

Race: Changeling (Purist)

Skills: Lethe has the basic changeling abilities to change his form to effectively copy the appearance of another being or make up a new one. He also specializes in the use of mind altering magic combined with dreamwalking techniques to infiltrate the most secure of locations. He does this by first finding a suitable target that would allow him to complete his objectives. Once the target is asleep, Lethe will use his abilities to stimulate the hippocampas and adjust activity in other areas of the brain to induce more lucid dreaming and employ a sense dampener to make sure they do not wake prematurely. Once accomplished, Lethe will enter the subject’s dream while controlling their brain activity to reveal memories and experiences lived by that subject. While inside the target’s dream, Lethe will shadow the target and begin to “feel out” their mind to cue in certain memories and find the connections they have to each other.
By finding these connections, Lethe will use his magic to alter them, strengthening some, weakening others, and forming new ones. Through this process, which takes some time depending on the target and mission, he can change experiences of the target and is not limited to hiding memories, altering the target’s relationships, introducing new persons, and imparting suggestions to the target. This technique in hand combined with his changeling special forces training, Lethe can obtain the deepest of secrets, infiltrate anyplace, and become a near perfect mimic of a person, either to the target or the target themself.

Appearance: If seen in his true form, Lethe has obsidian colored chitin and blue-green silk. His frame is slight but he holds himself confidently and with a cold and calculating violet gaze.

Biography: Lethe wasn’t always a changeling purist or used his current name. He once lived in Manehatten married to another changeling named Silhouette. He lived as a student councilor to one of the many schools located in the city and his partner was a local artist. For years they lived very unassuming lives. When they were planning to have nymphs an incident occurred at the school that started trouble for the expecting couple.

A filly at the school that Lethe worked for went missing and as days went by, suspicious eyes turned toward the couple. About a week after the filly went missing, ponies came forward to accuse Silhouette of foalnapping to use the filly to incubate eggs, the filly’s parents at the forefront. Lethe vehemently denied such an accusation and tried to calm down the frightened neighbors. Ultimately, he was doomed to fail.

One morning Lethe and Silhouette had left their home to gather food that would promote silk growth to be used for the nymphs nest. They were ambushed and Lethe was rendered unconscious early. Upon regaining consciousness, Lethe was subjected to the sight of the broken body of Silhouette and the eggs she was carrying. Unable to move due to his similarly broken body, he was forced to stare at the family taken from him before paramedics took him away. It was during his stay at the hospital that news of the filly’s body being recovered and the killer was found to be a griffon. This bloomed a two part hatred of both ponies and griffons, Lethe believing that they are no more than animals who succomb to fear and base instincts.

After leaving the hospital, Lethe disappeared from Manehatten and delved into his old research of the connection of sleep and memories from his university days. Months later he returned to act on those who wronged him.

He first infiltrated the prison housing the griffon who killed the filly and started the whole mess. Disguised as a guard, Lethe eventually made his way into the griffon’s cell when the criminal was asleep and entered his dreamscape. Lethe mentally overwhelmed the griffon and induced him to experience never ending nightmares of his past and worse fears. Next, Lethe went to the home of the filly’s parents.
*****
The ambient noises of the city faded away as the changeling calmly walked the long hall deeper into the residence. The world was a hush with only the low creeks of the wooden floor marking his pass. It was to the left end of the hall that he stopped, a hoof an inch from the door, a moment of hesitance. A feminine whimper sounded from the other side. A cold splinter. Did she make such a sound before they came for her? He opened the door and a pair of gasps sounded. He entered and began to close the door behind him, light sobs sounded before the click of the door cut it off.
*****
Lethe used his abilities to overpower the minds of the parents and find the identity of those who ambushed and killed Silhouette. Afterwards, he slowly wiped the existence of the filly from the minds of the parents but left behind the emotional memory of losing the child. They were to experience loss and never know the reason. (This could arguably be considered the cruelest of torture or a mercy). With that deed done, Lethe then went to the ones who killed Silhouette and induced them to permanent nightmares like the griffon.

Lethe returned to his home, content to stay until the authorities to put everything together and come to arrest him. He toured the house he had not visited in months, exploring every room that seemed a little more empty without Silhouette. When he reached the nursery and found the incomplete nest inside, he finally broke down. Unable to continue with the loss, Lethe turned his magic upon himself to give himself oblivion. The spell wasn’t a complete success. Since it requires the user to methodically divert the pathways of memory of the target, Lethe targeting himself could not complete the spell’s effect.

Stumbling outside the now unfamiliar house, Lethe wandered aimlessly until he was approached by a mysterious changeling that went to congratulate him. When asked on what, the strange changeling replied on Lethe’s retaliation on the mistreatment of changelings by the oppressive and hateful species. The changeling offers Lethe to join him and his race to get back at all the injustice that the other species have put changeling through. Still feeling a hatred for the other races, but not knowing why, Lethe agrees and goes with the stranger.

Lethe is soon taken to Queen Miasma where he would agree to join their hive and become one of the Queen’s most successful agents. The Queen depicted upon him the name of Phobetor but later came to be called Lethe as well. Over the course of his service to the queen he became a highly respected member in the Changeling Special Forces. Unknown to the other changelings, Lethe’s memories of his previous life leaks through occasionally, due his failure to completely erase them, and is often treated to visions of Silhouette. When this happens he tries to treat himself by purging the visions from his mind, but it has become more frequent. He is currently on standby for his next mission.

Personality: Lethe is a very focused and determined individual who sports a keen intellect and has a natural affinity at reading a situation. Infiltration, assassination, or simple information gathering, he gets the job done and always likes to plan ahead to guarantee success but if an opportunity presents itself, won’t hesitate to take advantage. He holds an intense hatred for ponies and griffons, truly believing they are unable to push away their fears and instincts, to everybody else, he holds a cold indifference. When feeding, he prefers to take the place of a parent or child. He claims that he does this due to the love being more “pure” but this is an unconscious longing to fit into and live as part of the family he was denied so long ago. When his memories begin to plague him or he sees Silhouette, he begins to get emotional and will retreat and hide away to collect himself and wonder who this strange changeling is. When he recovers he becomes even more determined to complete the mission and lose himself and forget these visions.
