No Gore, No Clop just means you have to try harder. Only one who has mastered the way of the non-clop may proceed with the clop... there are hundreds of those, too. And what's the point of writing gore, if you don't even know how to write it?

Writing clop and gore isn't easy, in that I can agree. With gore you either make something so exaggerated, that it becomes gore porn, or you make something so stupid, that it turns out as comedic without intending it to. Clop can make you look ridiculous if you have no clue how to write it as well.

You do make a good point. And I am not so petty as to ignore your opinions outright.

Mature fiction is one thing, but straight up mutilation and giant dick throbbing x gushing vag clop is something else. Proper context is always a necessity. I myself am not opposed to either one, so long as they work to enhance the story, and the story isn't merely a vehicle for said things.

Perhaps a revision to the group's rules is in order.

Well, it certainly depends on what the author is trying to write. If he wants to write porn, then it would be completely idiotic to create a full novel just to get his porn as a small scene. In the same way, if he is writing a novel, but the porn is EVERYWHERE, then he has failed just as much as the other person. Maybe more.

So yeah. It really depends on what the person is setting out to make. Clop without Plot is justified if that's the intent, but not otherwise.
