Appearance: a half owl, half lynx griffon.
Backstory: used to be part of a pirate crew but after he sold his captain's fate to a rival corsair, Duncan had to look out for himself which was difficult for him since he wasn't a good fighter or a good cook or a good anything. He eventually turns to forming a band of bandits to rob anyone foolish enough to pass by their territory.
Personality: Underhanded, petty but charismatic and good tempered, and a slob. He always tries to keep a good face against his situation no matter how bad it gets, and it can get really bad because he has terrible luck. Timid when by his own, mostly for being a coward, but over-confident and brash when he is in a group.
This can play in his favor or against him, since he likes to treat his allies like family but his opposers like complete idiots.
He is also a terrible liar even if he tries to get better at it.
Even if Duncan is a dishonest slob he is kind of a good guy on the inside. Kind of.
Abilities: Duncan is only good at one thing, pillageing. He can plan and observe most angles by which a place can be looted for maximum gain with minimal interference.
Another skill he developed was the ability to get others to owe him favors.

History: Born in Gryphonia to a small hunting family, Gaia grew up with a happy life. She had a loving father and mother and lived day to day, helping with the butcher shop her father ran in the town. She always loved the thought of travelling and did so whenever she could, starting about when she turned 15. She continued to stop off at home, but otherwise, made money through odd jobs and sometimes mercenary work. She excelled at fighting and enjoyed sparring, but wanted to see more of the world. At 17 she left Gryphonia and travelled the world to see the sights, still selling her skills for money. Often in the protection of caravans crossing long distances. Eventually she made it to Equestria a year ago. She decided to stick around for a bit, see what the country had to offer. She has roamed Equestria for a while, still as a odd job gryphon to pay for things she might want, need, or have to repair, including her two swords, pack with supplies and any other weaponry or equipment.

Personality: Gaia is an easygoing gryphon that loves the road and is always willing to talk about her travels. She loves the thrill of a fight, though will avoid the fight if possible, much preferring friendly sparring matches. She hates it when she is discriminated against due to her race and will fiercely defend anypony she considers a friend. She is fairly trusting of new beings, despite her line of work and will give someone the benefit of the doubt
