Over in the Celestia & Luna group, it was pointed out in this thread that the founder (and sole admin) has been missing for some 11 weeks. Someone said that they don't transfer groups until the owner has been away at least a year, but another user countered that the owner has "rage quit the fandom".

I went to the group owner's page to confirm the timeframe, and found this blog entry prominently displayed. While it says quite clearly that he/she will still be part of the fandom as a whole, it does indicate a pretty profound disinterest in ever returning to this site.

Thoughts, suggestions, advice? Would the blog entry be enough to persuade the site mods to hand the group over to someone else?

I suggest they appoint another member as admin until the founder returns.
