Just wondering Is there any fanfictions with suicide in them? I would like to see what anyone has to recommend. I would prefer it to be HiE but any you find interesting will do.

There are, Check the stuff tagged Tragedy, Sad and Dark, ought to crop up some stories for you.

However, there`s hardly any worthwhile ones - most common story featuring suicide is a pointless angstfest or gorefest. It takes a good deal of skill to portray a believable portrait of a character desiring to die - most commonly, those come off as attention whores.

the dobermans suggested Lunacy, and I would like to second that suggestion. It's easily some of the better somber stories I've read...and no, I'm not just saying that because it focuses around my favorite pony. I'm not that petty.

Back in the day there was a wave of sadporn fics where Dash would fail a Wonderbolts tryout and just be like WOE IS ME GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD and jump off the next cloud she saw, and pinkie would always sense it and get close enough to see her fall and one of the mane six would always get badly hurt saving her and somepony in the hospital room would always chew Dash out when she woke up, and then blah blah blah friendship, Dash get shipped w/ the author's favorite pony, they all live happily ever after and have adorable foals you get to read more about in the 200k word sequel, The End.

It got old after a while.

My beef is: give us some foreplay first, will ya? Suicide fics never seem to do this. Its always like "here's a couple hundred words about how sad Rainbow Dash is, OK now she can kill herself". Fuck that shit. Show Rainbow Dash giving her possessions away. Show Rainbow Dash excusing herself from her birthday party so she can go in the bathroom, lock the door, and cry in a curled up ball on the floor. Show Rainbow Dash cutting her hooves. Show Rainbow Dash drafting notes. SELL ME ON HER CHECKING OUT.

I do like the idea of "Pinkie feels a Great Disturbance in The Force" though.
