Two possible answers, dude:
(A) As to the fics themselves: As you can use the site's search engine to search for long fics, the community itself is pretty much irrelevant.
(B) As to whether or not the community is working or not: 818 bronies receive updates whenever a story is added here. If you really aren't getting more hits from adding your stories here, you may wish to consider the possibility that your stories are too obscure for a general audience, or that you just suck.

I really don't know if individual groups are where it's coming from because I get about 10 new fans a day, and that's when I'm NOT updating. I was just asking if anyone is actually running this or it's just dead...
