The first of the M-rated upgrades to earlier C&C chapters will launch tonight · 3:34pm Oct 21st, 2022
I promised I was going to do it in my previous blog, and the first of the updated chapters is ready with two prereads already in. Which is it?
The prologue, to give incoming readers expecting M-rated content an immediate taste of things to come in the very first chapter. I redid the ending scene with Marco and Gilda to be much more sexy (I hope), and I also gave the earlier parts of the chapter a thorough update to support it, making it reflect things that have happened later in the story.
It will launch as a new chapter, which begs the question of what to do with the original T-rated one. I could delete it, but that would also delete the comments on it. I could unpublish it, which would leave the comments but make readers have to click a link and enter a password to see it. Or I could leave it up but tagged but a different name like "Prologue T-rated" so readers can choose which one they prefer to read.
I don't consider any of these ideal, to be honest. If it was a new story launching as M-rated from the start, I wouldn't even bother with a T-rated version of the opener, but I also don't want to take it away from those readers who prefer it. So on the advice of prereader AJ_Aficionado, I'm going to leave both up, with each clearly marked in the title which is M-rated and which is T. But for the record, the M-rated version is canon.
It'll go live this evening, and more earlier chapters will follow over the next couple weeks as I finish updating them around working on Unleash the Magic. The big one remains the Gilda/Marco scene in chapter 14, but additional parts of the story slated for M-rated enhancement include the post-combat talk about guns between Gilda and Chris/Marco/Tara, which I'll let go a little further now, and maybe even a very happy Gilda teasing Reyes much harder following her first encounter with Marco, when she’s grateful to him for trying to cover for them. I may also add some R-rated interest between Tara and Gilda a bit further back in the story as well.
Leaving both versions of prologue seem to be the most plausible way to do things.
Looking forward to it.

Thanks for saying so. Hope you enjoy the relaunched chapter.
I'll say this for the M-rated version of chapter 1 - it fits the story a lot better. Enjoy guys!
