I thought tek suits and saddles didn't work inside of boss arenas?

I think it's a feature to enable - idk about Official servers, though. I can use Tek gear and saddles for the Overseer fight just fine in my solo world. Granted, I had to farm the other bosses to unlock the Engrams, but I can use it during the fight.

Actually, it's a combo of both of your answers. You can't use Tek for the cave itself, but you can use it for the boss fight. Although I hear there are ways to use it in the cave, too.
I usually store my Tek away in my main dino, and equip it after being transported to the Starlit Sanctuary, where the actual fight takes place.

Just looked it up, and you're right! That's good to know. I suppose I never realized since I remain mounted on my dino, so I don't notice that my Tek equipment can't be used lol
