My Alternate Universe: Applejack

One day, I want to make a retelling of the events of Friendship is Magic seasons 1 to 9. Beginning with an altered version of Mare in the Moon and with stories building up to an epic final battle.

There will be alternate versions of characters with different backstories and somewhat different personalities (although I try to keep some things in common)

My first character to talk about is Applejack.

In my version Applejack is pretty similar to her original. She is hardworking, she loves her family, she is responsible, and practical.

But there are some differences.

She's now the oldest sibling (she's also the oldest of the Mane Six). Big Mac is now the middle child. Think of the episode Where the Apple Lies, but Big Mac is the quiet one with new ideas and Applejack is the one that is loud mouth and focused on tradition. Big Mac literally has knowledge of fancy mathematics and is an avid reader unlike Applejack who while not book dumb goes more by instinct .

Applejack has a suspicion against the Pear family. In my version she constantly has suspicions of them but never questions why. She thinks the Pears are snooty, judgemental and snobbish compared to the more gregarious and friendly Apples.

She also is a bit suspicious of new things or influences especially from Canterlot. She has always had a rivalry with Rarity. She thinks Rarity is a bit of a traitor to Ponyville who prefers the snobs of Canterlot. Applejack and Rarity once had a cooking competition with Applejack's traditional Apple Pies and Rarity's Canterlot style food.

Applejack is also a little more girly. Kind of like a tomboy with a girly streak. She makes food, she sews clothes (terribly compared to Rarity) and makes traditional Apple family dolls. But she still very athletic and loves playing sports.

Applejack is wise and is protective of her friends and family. She puts a big burden on herself.
