Tuyet “Crystalline” Del Salvia
Crystalline was their original golden child, she was everything they could want in a daughter and a perfect mix between the two: beautiful, intelligent, funny, and a smart mouth that refused to be talked down to. James expressed his absolute joy and pride in his daughter by naming her Tuyet, a lovely name meaning snow as he knew from day one she’d be a beautiful and fantastic mare one day. However, it was her smart mouth that caused a bit of a rift between herself and her parents when she realized they were attempting to live through her so, she stopped listening and rebelled by the time she hit fifteen. As much as she loves her parents she can’t help but feel angry with them at times, feeling as though her early life was wasted on endless studies and watching her diet in order to keep her figure just right; she wasn’t happy but at the same time, she’s not sure if she’d trade it all away for something better since there were soft moments in between that she treasures to this day. Over all she’s just slightly bitter and confused about it. On the other hand she is definitely the “mean” and teasing older sister of her brothers, her favorite victim being her baby brother, mothball. She’s one of the few creatures capable of making him get into a full on screaming match and it’s fascinating to watch. Their relationship at its calmest is basically that one scene from Encanto with Isabela and Dolores—
James: and what did Minthe (mothball’s fiancé who he ditched almost immediately) say about her proposal to your brother?
Crystalline: hm? Oh, tonight… and she wants five babies.
Mothball: 👁👄👁
She genuinely loves her brothers to dead but at the same time she would consider leaving them dead in a ditch if she was offered chips to do so
Attractiveness by changelings standards?: it’s iffy with her as her clear pony heritage makes it hard for them to find her attractive by their standards, but they appreciate her shiny mane
Sexuality wise she considers herself to be pretty fluid and has had relationships with both stallion and mares without much of a preference
Enrique Del Salvia
Enrique was essentially the disappointing middle child to his parents but, he genuinely does not care and is living his life as the typical pretty boy heartthrob and a massive dick towards his siblings (just like crystalline he loves them to death but does not care to openly express it). He’s basically the instigator in his siblings arguments and finds absolute joy in causing their screaming matches, although that often resulted in him getting the shit smacked out of the back of his head. His way of apologizing to mothball goes from buying them food or letting him sneak out the house with him, meanwhile with crystalline the most he’ll do is not trip her for once in the hallway. He’s the only one of his siblings without a second name because he outright refused to get one, perfectly happy with his birth name of Enrique. Oh and most of mothball’s friends lowkey simp for him and it’s an absolute nightmare for the poor boy, Enrique finds it absolutely hysterical though and absolutely plays up the “hot older brother” trope whenever they’re around to torment his younger brother to death. Over all he’s fun to hang out with if you’re not on his shit list which tends to change by the day.
Attractiveness by changelings standards?: he’s considered really unattractive by their standards, more so than crystalline because of his dull mane/coat and clear pony heritage as well
Sexuality wise he considers himself unlabeled and explains that as long as someone’s attractive to him he’s more than willing to ask them out/hook up
Hao “Mothball” Del Salvia
Mothball became the perfect golden child—a role given to him practically at birth, with his name basically meaning “perfect” and he had the appearance of a royal changeling to a tee—after crystalline made it clear she was done with her parent’s projecting and unfortunately, it took him much longer than her to realize it. He essentially faces the brunt of his parent’s past traumas as whenever he wanted to give something up he’ll get the talk of “do you have any idea what I went through to get here?? How in the world are you this ungrateful, when I was your age I was just barely scraping by with a rice hat on my head and your here with every opportunity I was denied!” From James and Lily would unintentionally trauma dump hard on him without realizing just how bad her childhood really was, making the conversation become awkward really fast. If mothball was being completely honest he’d be happy with just casually embracing his culture and settling down with whoever he loves (eventually being screwball but he’s gone through a few relationships beforehand with both mares and stallions, all being abruptly ended under his parent’s demands). Over all he’s just here to vibe with his friends and pretend everything’s okay.
Attractiveness by changelings standards?: he’s considered conventionally attractive but his mane is slightly too dull (he was considered much more attractive when his mane was long but one day he spontaneously chopped off most of it and sports a short mane with pride)
Sexuality wise he considers himself bisexual and has been with relationships with ponies of different identities without a care (male, female and non-binary/gender nonconforming)
For fun their human designs would be
Lily: dark skinned Afro-Latina with coily hair (4b type)that she often keeps in dreadlocks or just natural, she’s a plump and shorter woman in her mid forties with a kind face.
Crystalline: dark skinned Blasian-Latina with curly black hair (3c type) that she switches between natural and sister braids, she’s considered extremely attractive and is in her mid to late twenties.
Enrique: light skinned blasian-Latino with moderately curly black hair (3b type) that he can easily tie into a bun or ponytail, he’s pretty tall and lanky with a handsome face in his early to mid twenties.
Mothball: dark skinned blasian-Latino with coily hair (4a type) that he often relaxes in order to hide his mother’s side in his heritage but occasionally puts his natural hair in a bun, he’s considered pretty more than handsome and is lanky like his brother but not as tall in his late teens to early twenties.
Ps. In the pony realm Latino-coded ponies are of both zebra and llama descent so that explains why Lily is so fluffy (as llamas were a major part in some ancient Central American culture)

For ur first question yep I knew since I’m a Greek mythology nut lmao, i thought the name would suit a changeling and I think it works. Also I figured since that his design isn’t too much different from how he originally looked, at most he might have Lily’s beauty mark (cough cough also I’m lazy cough cough) but I’ll probably still draw him out again at some point

They will most likely still be close friends, although Odonata would probably not understand why it’s strange since he was raised in a similar way (he definitely found Oak’s much gentler and patient parenting style with their kids strange at first but adjusted with time). Bright Mac, Oak and Pear would probably find it strange but didn’t realize the full extent of it (pear and bright most likely passed away before the affects of Lily and James’s kids childhoods began showing, and Oak probably provides a shoulder to cry on for them once he caught onto it)
