Slight frustrations · 8:45pm Aug 6th, 2022
Okay I know a lot of people aren't really making stories which is totally cool because I used to just read too! But oh my god, I don't think is just me but if you do write, do you ever get the feeling what you write might seem like a copy to someone else's work?
So like, alot of ideas have sticked to comics right? So general ideas like that are kinda niche to the common folks but when they start going mainstream I start worrying that my plans for characters and plot lines and shit might seem like I'm a cop out. I've basically nearly completely wrote out a character from appearing because I was worried that it'd be too similar to a character from what was a once niche idea in the comics now on the big screen. Not that it's bad! Really it's their works that they bought out with characters and ideas taken from comics which is completely fine! I have no hatred nor distaste for them using it, but mannnnnn I feel like if I was faster with my uploads I could avoid that but then I'm like "Who wants a rushed plot line with characters not able to fully be developed." It's like AGGHHH.
Sorry had to vent out my frustrations for action based series.
Probably not a entire problem for other writers that have slice of life/ normal fics.
I never had that happen to me, but yeah, it's really frustrating if you try writing something but it ends up looking like someone else's work.
