An OC that we never heard of before. "Hello Rufus" - except for Izzy who seems to know him.

"He uses wires." - but where are they attached to? Now that's real magic.
"Ponies have like real magic now." Still doesn't explain how he manages to pull a winged rabbit out of a hat. Can Unicorns do that? Can they grow a flower behind their ears?
Uses an apple for his magic trick. - Hey! They stole that idea from my story! What the Hell, Hasbro?
You are the first crowd who has welcomed The Great and Powerful Trixie with a cheer. In turn, for you only and merely tonight, The Great and Powerful Trixie will perform the never before seen magic trick, with no magic!
Behold! Without even charging the horn, The Great and Powerful Trixie shall make this apple disappear.
Now you see the apple on the chair, but after The Great and Powerful Trixie sits on it… Mghh!

Levitating houses, no problem.
When Izzy waters plants, they become even drier.
Izzy says, "You're garbage and are only good for getting unicycled."

Levitating houses, no problem. Levitating a filly, is impossible.
"You saved Glory!" Also the cellphone. Very important.
So, he now presses buttons, with wines? Why not just use hooves?
One of the good things about this series is that the earth pony magic is clearly shown.
In MLP, it's so rarely shown, you'd think they had any kind of magic.
Even on Fimfiction, this element is very rarely used.

5675737 That is something I've been wondering myself in Gen 4.
I am a bit split on the issue, though. Earth ponies being useless adds another layer. More lessons to be learned. In real life, people aren't equal to one another. Some are better than others. Earth ponies kind of represented that weakness in some.
In Gen 5, this element is lost. Everypony is magical. Hell, even animals are.
