To be fair, the whole 'anti-smart-device war' seems to be a worldwide phenomenon. Officially it's because young people don't interact with each other anymore outside social media. Unofficially, it's also because teachers really don't like the idea that they can be recorded at any moment. Something tells me the latter matters way more than the former
