Hello, I have just finished a 13 hour, 20 minute long writing stream after a sleepless night, how are you?
If you take a look at Flight of the Valkyrie's page, you'll not only find a new 5.8k word chapter, but also minor changes to chapters 1-3, and major changes to chapter 4. Most of these retroactive changes were due to refinement and expansion of the core timeline, giving more definition to specifically what Shooting Star did as a child, and more importantly, C- ... Well, maybe I won't spoil it, though it's not exactly a twist.
Anyway, I think it's a change that not only deepens FotV's connection to the reworked TToTS chapters, but also gives even greater motivation to Shooting Star's actions, and makes everything feel a little more... justified. Oh yes, and originally chapter 5 was going to end up being over 11k words long, so I decided to split it in half and bump up the total number of chapters. It sort of splits an emotional hump in half, which I'm not thrilled by, but there was just too much going on in that chapter for its own good, so take it as two more manageable halves.
Given that the second half of chapter 5 was already in the proofing stage, it hopefully shouldn't take long before you see its release, too! And this time I won't have to rewrite all the others chapters before it! Yay!
