Progress Report · 3:05am Jul 4th, 2022
Following my last post, I should update anyone who cares on the state of things at the moment. Progress has been slow after the Ukraine war, which has completely destroyed my creativity (and faith in this rotten world), however I just realised that I have done a lot more than is uploaded right now:
The Tale of Two Sisters
Ch.19 - 8,900 words. Requires final proofing pass and an external pass before upload.
Ch.20 - 4,100 words, 50-75% written.
(I have also done a lot of work on the rewriting, finishing the prologue and half way through chapter 1, though progress is harder to quantify.)
Flight of the Valkyrie
Ch.5 - 9,100 words. This might have already been proofed, but I should check again before external and upload.
Ch.6 - 4,700 words. Requires final proof and external pass.
Ch.7 - 3,600 words, 85% written. [07/07 update: 5,237 words. Awaiting final proof.]
Epilogue - 1,700 words, 40% written. (Yes, I'll actually finish a story for the first time since 2018... Unless??👉👈)
FotV offers an interesting question that I have mixed feelings about and would like to ask you. How do you feel about a choose-your-own-ending? In other words, being able to choose whether she returns home or not? Now this might be something I can't do after all, story-wise, but I'd like to know if that kind of "grey canon" is something people would like or hate. Let me know.
For now I'll try to focus on finishing up what is already done for release, instead of pushing forward.
