Sunset Shimmer was the prized pupil of Basil Karlo, one of the greatest horror actors of all time. Basil first met Sunset when he was one of the judges in an high school acting competition. At first, Basil was skeptical that any of these children could match up to his brilliance. But when he watched Sunset play the staring role of Edgar Allen Poe's, The Tell-Tale Heart, he was starstruck by Sunsets brilliant performance and actually believed that Sunset was actually descending into madness, it really fooled him, and that made him very happy. So, he made Sunset one of the students in his acting school. Out of all the students in the class, Sunset was Basil's favorite.
One Night Sunset was getting cleaned up, after her brilliant performance as Clayface in the Silverlock Hooves play, The Terror of Clayface, that's when Trixie Lulamoon, Sunset's rival, had been expelled by Carlo due to not only arriving late almost everyday, but also for aggressive behavior towards the other student's and even to Basil himself. Trixie, in a blind rage, poured an experimental protoplasm all over Sunset's body, covering her in a clay cocoon.
When Sunset woke up, she saw that she looked like her normal self, but she felt a little sick. That was until she staggered back home, and saw that parts of her face were running down her body like clay, until it turned her whole body into brown clay and turned her into a freakish clay monster.
She at first went into a deep depression, thinking that her acting career was over, but her sadness turned into ambition when she found out that she could shape-shift into anyone or anything she wanted.
Sunset now used her new Clay-Powers to advance in her acting career, but before turning Trixie into the police as payback for what she did to her.
Sunset's clay form is AWESOME!!!!!
