I am very aware that it is coming up on a month since chapter one, but the next one is coming! I expect it to get better with every chapter, and chapter two is no exception. I've managed to get myself to make considerable progress every day by streaming it on Picarto, where anyone can stop by and bully me into doing better 
So far I'm averaging about 500 words a day plus some edits of the previous day's work, so I'm expecting to get it published by this time next week. Hopefully sooner, but my original goal was tomorrow

Actually, yes! I did end up adding some character thoughts where it fit, and overall toned down the amount of unbroken dialogue. I'll go back over everything and add a bunch of smaller details at the end, including some of yours for the first encounter with the bat.
