Idea, Looking for Input · 10:07am Apr 20th, 2022
I had this idea stewing, but I haven’t really sat down and worked on it. I’ve gone on record stating that the little DJ preambles in FO:E are some of my favorite parts of the story. So, I thought to myself, what if the DJ parts were the story? Better yet, what if it was an audio drama?
So, the idea to make an audio drama told entirely through the DJ, they’d get on interviewees, and it’d just be a radio show, but there’s one hero of the wasteland which the DJ can’t help but focus on. Don’t worry, this isn’t Homage here, it’d just be those little fragments you hear in a Fallout game, but expanded.
Now, I’ve been putting this off because I’m going to need a team. Writers, VAs, artists, perhaps musicians even (ambient music), and maybe there’ll be Fallout song parodies as well.
But yeah, the idea is that it’s just a radio show, that mainly talks about the new arrival in this little corner of the wasteland.
But herein lies the problem; I don’t have a real story (the most I’ve got is that this is going to be a lone wanderer character, and likely an anti-hero), dialogue ideas, or hell, even a setting. So, I’m wondering if I should create a Discord server for all these people to join now and we’ll figure out the story together, or if I should bang out a rough idea, which I may never finish.
It probably doesn’t help that this isn’t going to be a paying gig in the foreseeable future (even if I were to create a patreon, I don’t have a real pull in the FO:E community), and that that may hamper my chances at getting any team together.
So, I’m just kinda asking for help on what to do, if anybody is willing to give it to me.
Until next time; be awesome!
