3rd Firefly Chapter down, Eros on deck · 3:44pm Apr 18th, 2022
With Into the Storm chapter 3-10 in the book (3rd book of magnum opus, 10th chapter), I would like to first welcome new readers and thank returning ones for feedback. The chapter was received very well, and the graphics I made turned out to be very much appreciated and worth it to make. I'll post one of them here in hopes of enticing more folks to read Firefly.
There was one minor issue in that the chapter as it attracted a commenter who had created a fimfiction account just two days earlier to post malicious links. To their credit, the mods swooped in and banned him quickly. Thankfully, my security software blocked those links and let me know they were dangerous. the moral there is, be very certain of what you’re clicking, folks.
Next up…
Is fulfilling a promise to prereader ASF for a new Feathered Hearts - Eros chapter. It's already underway at 1500 words, and I'll try to have a completed draft ready by the weekend, though I think a release is unlikely before the middle of next week. But we'll see. I've already said it'll be from Chris' point of view for the first time, and given everybody else short of Fortrakt has had multiple chapters from their perspective (Fortrakt will get his in a future arc), he'll get three of his own to close out the Night to Remember story arc.
So you'll get to see the viewing of Midway and everycreature's reaction to it, sexual and otherwise, through Chris' eyes. In the process, you'll also learn a little more about his backstory and where he comes from as a person, thus fleshing him out more for the main story as well.
After that…
It’s back to Harmonic Resonance for the ascension of Rainbow Dash. I admit I've been somewhat bewildered at how many downvotes that story’s attracted, as I thought Equestria Girls clopfics tend to do well. But whatever. I've never let DVs stop me from writing the stories I want to. The Lawyer and The Unicorn is proof of that.
Looking even further ahead comes Firefly chapter #4, then Midnight Rising, then Continuation and Chornicles, then Harmonic Resonance again. This should take us through the end of May, at which point I might finally go on a real vacation again for the first time in three years. Nasal surgery is scheduled for mid-May as well, but that should give me a week to get some writing in as distraction.
