Howdy there everyone! Been a few months since my last blog, and since it's my 'publishing' anniversary, I thought I'd give you all an update. Honestly, I can say I have enjoyed my break from writing. From the point of my last blog, up to about a week and a half ago, I hadn't even opened up the next Long Haul chapter. I took some time for myself, poured myself into some games I'd been really itching to play, and I have to say, I think it really helped. Of course, none of the issues I'd been having before have gone away, and the state of the world seems to be on a really poor slide at the moment.
However, as mentioned before, a week and a half ago I woke up as I normally do, went and made some coffee, as I normally do, and an image of a scene in Long Haul formed in my mind. Just a simple thought about how the next scene in the story should go, nothing elaborate or anything. So I sat down, pulled up the document, and wrote a page and a half in fifteen minutes. More progress than anytime in the last few months, just from an odd morning thought. Now, I haven't made much progress sense, but I can feel the spark coming back, and it's quite a relief to me.
Some of you may have noticed and ask, 'why didn't I put up the blog last week then on the first Friday of April?'. Well, I didn't feel like it was a good idea to post an update blog on the 1st of April, for what I would hope would be obvious reasons. However, I am feeling hopeful about getting back to it in a more regular way here soon. I'm still going to take things slowly, so don't hold your breath for a release next month. But for the first time in months I'm feeling good about the progress, and my normal anniversary post is as good an excuse as I can have to share that with you all.
So, keep your ears perked and eyes open, cause maybe I'll have more news here sooner rather than later. Of course, as always, thank you for continuing to check in on me. All of you regulars who comment and send good will my way, your support means so much to me, and I hope to repay it soon with a fresh chapter. For now, take care, and I'll see you all in the next post.

Take as long as you need man, nothing is worse than forcing yourself to do something you like. I'll be rereading long haul to catch up anyway ^_^
