Update on the Last Blog Post

I mentioned in my last blog post that I’d come back around noon and try and get my feelings straight.

So, I have.

And I come baring news:

That last blog post was an April Fools’ joke. I’m still very much girl, and that entire last post is meant to be satire.

I was worried about who’d get the joke, so just to be safe (considering I did reconfigure my profile for this), I wanted to make it clear to all my trans followers who didn’t get it that I did not get invested in the holy book of JK Rowling.

It has made me realize that I sort of feel like a voice in the FiMFiction trans community now though. I feel like there’s people who rely on me to give trans representation unashamedly, and well, 5 trans stories (with an additional one about a trans character) isn’t a small number. In fact, I was debating over releasing that last blog post because I felt like there were people who would feel betrayed.

So, I suppose, in a way, I did learn more about myself. I may not have realized that I am not girl, but I have realized that I should never stop writing trans stories when I get ideas for them, because all representation, no matter how little of a splash it may seem to make, deserves to be seen, and I am prepared to do that.
