Diolch. I plan on writing both of them (I’ve started writing the latter, with notes for the former) and publishing them but I just don’t know which one to submit to the 2022 crackships contest (no intent of winning, it’s just for fun).
The latter is much more “cracky”, and the former is much more “shippy”, for sure.

I’m still thinking on it. I honestly have this really bad anxiety when it comes to competitions (especially those with deadlines) but who knows? Maybe I’ll make an exception.
If I do enter, I’m thinking on either going with Pharynx x Discord (an idea that a friend of mine had) or Pharynx x Sombra (which has been on my mind for quite a while now).

I personally have a crush on both Pharynx and Sombra, so I thought “eh, why not both of them date?” Plus they’re both edgy hunks, really.
And I’ve kinda been getting a grasp on writing Discord’s character. At least, in my most recent story.

But when it comes to originality, it’s hard. Like, the two mentioned in my post are my original ideas, but it took forever to find them (even if I thought of them ages ago), because so many make up crackships
dare I say every second.Honestly, I was originally going to do a Marble Pie x Burnt Oak (who STILL doesn’t have his own tag! *insert angriness here*) fic. I even contemplated Trenderhoof x Limestone Pie (because it fits well enough).

I’ve kinda sorta been losing interest in Pharynx x Tempest. I dunno why, it’s not a bad ship, honestly.
But every now and then I’m suddenly in a Sombrynx mood.
The real hard part is how to make it work. How their interactions will play out.

The only way I could picture it (because Pharynx is so defensive and untrusting) is if Pharynx is trying to protect the Hive/Thorax from Sombra (The Sack makes an appearance), having learnt of him and what he did to the Crystal Empire (and Canterlot/Equestria in S9), and maybe he’s like “what would I want with a couple of disordinate(?) changelings?” (or bugs, if we’re being brazen) and they just bond over their love of dark colours and militancy, and armies
(that are kept up their sleevies).And Thorax/the Hive is/are just left as they walk off in conversation (“I never knew anypony but myself could be so interesting!”—Sombra, 2022) “•—•”..”see you soon then?”

In The Dark of the Night from Anastasia and the First Movement of Moonlight Sonata I feel could possibly capture him well. I’ve said the music-writing-theory thing many times, but what can I say? It again! Obviously!
