Dealing with COVID and struggling to write.

Well... this is unfortunate.

December was a busy month for me, both work-wise and personally, with sorting out things for Christmas and such, meaning I'd had hardly a chance to get any writing done. January rolls around and I finally get a chance to take some time off work to sort out various things, including cranking out that next chapter.

New Year's Eve rolls around and I start feeling under the weather. Nose is all blocked up and I feel cold all the time. I take a COVID test just to check, and... it's positive, sending me into self-isolation for 10 days. Various plans to meet up with friends and family fall by the wayside, but at least that gives me time to work on my writing. Right?

Well, that was the plan, but COVID has left me feeling tired, run down, and unable to concentrate on anything, leading me to simply sleep in and binge-watch Netflix shows for the past few days. (On the plus side, I watched all of Bojack Horseman, and my God, it was way better than I was expecting. Would highly recommend.) I feel guilty for not writing when it's my ideal chance, but I just haven't been up to it. I'm starting to feel a bit better, so maybe I can push out a couple hundred words here and there, but mentally I feel like I need a boost before I can really get back to it.

Apologies to those of you who've been following Trigger Happy Equines, but the next chapter will probably take some time. Thanks for sticking with it despite my rather slow upload schedule. Hopefully the next update will be much more positive!

I wish you a quick recovery. Your body needs plenty of rest while it's recovering, so don't feel guilty if you don't feel up to do anything taxing.
