My Death Battles, and why I write them · 9:55pm Dec 19th, 2021
*Twilight does or says something that irks me*
Mykan: *Grabbing her by the neck* "How many times a day 'I gotta threaten you?"
*Twilight tries to zap me, but it doesn't work*
People have been getting really picky with me that I don't know how to write a true Death Battle...
...They're right... I don't really.
First: I just CALL them "Death Battles"
-What rule is there saying I have to make it EXACTLY like THE Death Battles?
-It wouldn't make a difference even if I called it anything else. It would still be the same.
Second: They are created specifically so Twilight, or the MLP character, loses in a crushing and humiliating defeat. (Due to my hate for said character)
The REAL DBs analyze their characters and try to consider their every creative aspect, skill, ability, talent, and everything else.
Some of Twilight's Spells take time to reach full-power and effect, and she needs to maintain concentration-- thus leaving her vulnerable to attack.
Twilight is terrible in the art of hand-to-hand combat, or weapon combat-- she relies so heavily on her magic, she has practically no battle skills.
Even if I was willing to do those things with Twilight Sparkle, even if I knew EVERY SINGLE THING she's capable of doing... it won't matter. I created these solely to thrash her. (I will still make her lose) Period.
The only thing close to a fair fight she had is with Link (Zelda: Ocarina of Time) she managed to damage like, and kill him (Though he was revived by a bottled-fairy... just like in the game) she still lost in the end.
So don't bother with me about all this
But if you add a character's creativity into the mix,
I just want to give Twilight her scheduled thrashing... because I don't like her. Period.
That's another reason I let her live instead of having her remain dead after KO. So she can live with the disgrace and humiliation, and I can continue to thrash her, again... and again... and again...!
Those are my Death Battles, and that is how they will be.
