Ponies and Periods (Men Who are Squeamish This is Your Warning Now)

Okay so that's out of the way. You're probably wondering about that title. Well on one end I was watching the original MLP movie the other night with my best guy friend and of course this being my "blessed" time of the month, he wisely came bearing my "please don't murder me" package he brings me every 3 or so months (disclosure: mine aren't regular because of birth control) and sat with me while

    Happy St. Patrick's Day🍀☘️

Currently doing a bar crawl in Downtown (ok so we started in Corktown and are making our way through any good AVAILABLE bar today) with some friends and a couple of co-workers of mine, who we unintentionally ran into. Turns out great minds think alike! Ironically I'm the "Uber Call Girl" tonight so...unfortunately can't get TOO wasted (plus I actually have work tomorrow...couldn't call off).

Happy 25th Anniversary "Space Jam" · 11:57am Nov 15th, 2021

Original Release Date: November 15th, 1996

Yes it's really been 25 years today! Nuts right?!?

(Trailer)

(Two of the soundtracks most memorable songs [R Kelly aside, just pay attention to the song. Not the singer])
What else can be said about this movie?!? It's awesome. One of the highest grossing sports movies ever! The BEST basketball film of ALL TIME! The sequel was.....okay. It was merely okay.

I LOVE Space Jam! So elated that it's the film's 25th Anniversary!

As am I, my friend! While I don't actually remember the first time I saw this film, I do however remember having it on tape. Pretty sure we ended up wearing the tape out at some point.

I definitely do not need the recent crappy sequel when I got the legendary OG.

Got that right! I regret watching it on HBO Max (but at least I didn't waste money by seeing it in theaters)!

A lot of people I’ve messaged around here openly seem to call this movie one of the best they ever saw.

I, on the other hand, consider it one of the worst. To me, it’s nothing more than a bland cash grab by Warner Bros. to make a quick buck off of the Looney Tunes and Michael Jordan being in the same film. It’s also incredibly irritating and lifeless beyond anything, and it certainly doesn’t respect the Looney Tunes formula or the characters.
