Informative Blog Post

It's been stated a few times that people don't understand my story format layout so I just wanted to clarify on what the layout looks like and how to read it. The layout is as follows:

"• ――― ·• ʚ「 Title 」ɞ ·•" <--- as this suggests the title is placed at the very top. It's not really all that important given I post the story with the title at the very top but it's mostly just done for aesthetic purposes and to make it look like you're reading a book that has the name of the chapter on the top and bottom of the page. It looks nice and I'm proud of how it turned out.

"✙ *" <--- This thick + looking thing with the star is the action bar. If you see the ✙ next to a wall of italic text that means you're reading the description of a person, place, thing, action, etc. I tend to make this also be emphasized by having the text be italicized to make things look more like an actual book because most books I've read the author has either typed it on a type writer or actually hand wrote the text and with that the text is in cursive and makes everything look all fancy. I wanted to capture that feel by making all action or descriptive based text be italicized to differentiate it from character dialogue.

And last but not least the text box. This is the crown jewel that keeps the entire text line held together. I got this idea by playing Yakuza. I noticed when characters talk with no voice acting there's a box that show's the character's name and then their dialogue in the window below. I wanted to capture this as closely as possible so I made this design. The character's name will also be in unique text tailored to that specific character to match their personality with their text being in between the fancy dynasty box. That way I don't have to keep typing "X said" over and over every time a character says something. It gets annoying redundant repetitive and I just hate typing that garbage over and over. So I figured this would alleviate the issue. But that's all. Expect the next episode to Square Pants are Magic soon. Enjoy your day/night/evening/etc.
