Good news on the writing front: I've been working on the story outline and I have most of Gallus' second term prepared.
Bad news on the writing front: I'm still struggling with what the rest of the arc is about, and as a result, I haven't had time to work on the next chapter of Bluebird yet.
The issue I have is a worry about how much I'm writing. If I combine the two-parter chapters, the first term arc was ten "episodes", and the winter break was five. Including the two I've already written, this term currently has nine planned, and not everything I initially hoped to cover has been figured out. It also doesn't help that one episode is going to have not two, not three, but four parts because of what goes on.
What could happen is when I finally put down what I want to write and in what order, I may end up finding that I could combine two shorter episodes together. What could also happen is that an episode is too long, and I'd end up writing more than two partners because I'm not a fan of fics which have the odd 10,000+ word chapters in them.
Writer's block isn't the sole reason, I'm currently in the middle of preparing to move to a flat in a new city for a new job, so a lot of my time has been busy dealing with paperwork, transporting stuff, and it doesn't help that my current job decided I needed to finish as much as possible instead of slowly winding down my level of work. By the end of November, I'll be starting a new life routine in a new place, so how frequently I can work on chapters is unknown to me. Sadly, the pandemic induced free weekends are gone, and I'd like to get back to doing more social stuff as well.
That's not to say I won't stop writing though, I signed up to Jinglemas this year after seeing what I missed out on last year, it'll be a good challenge since I haven't written a new fic since that one-off father's day story in June. I hope those who follow my story understand, I appreciate the readers that have been following the story so far.
