    Happy New Years

    2023 was way too long.

My goal this year is to find a new job. Try and write more than one new chapter of Feather Steel and to hopefully publish this new story of mine which popped into my head and won't leave. Already written 20,000 words. :twilightsheepish:

As for my other unfinished works, we'll see. :facehoof:

    The Curse is Broken

So, yeah, finally a new chapter is here.

What can I say other than time goes by fast and you never realize how much you lose until it's lost. Five years :fluttershysad:

The Difficulty of Continuing a Story

Why is it so difficult to do this sometimes? I feel like it's much, much easier to come up with a new story and write it out. But Celestia help you if you stop and want to continue later. :facehoof:

    A Rushed Job

I'm Back from TrotCon which was fun, though I feel they planned poorly for how large the venue was vs how many people were there (last time it was in a smaller hotel and felt cozy).

Happy Halloween · 8:24pm Oct 31st, 2021

I, uh, I got nothing. I was hoping to have a new chapter up for one of my stories, but I've been fairly busy. However, I could tease something that's been in the works. I won't post it until it's fully finished, however; I'm tired of publishing stuff and then hitting a roadblock and disappointing others that it's not updating. Still, enjoy the preview:

Gamma coughed up blood and slammed her body against a concrete wall, one that was quickly being torn apart by gunfire. Her vision doubled and she had to hold her breath just to focus since the pain was becoming nearly unbearable.

How did it get this bad… she thought while fumbling for a few stimpaks.

She shook her head and scrambled to get her supplies ready. Already, she could spot ponies off in the distance, eager to make their little shopping trips and check out the stands. And here she was, daydreaming about her past. Gemma sighed and grabbed a few demo potions she had prepared and swiftly set them on the front portion of her little stand, along with a sign for each one, indicating their price, use, and name.

She stumbled forward and immediately felt a shock to her right leg, she screamed in pain and felt blood, green goo, and smoke splash everywhere. With a massive grunt, she was able to slam the bunker door closed; she heard mechanical gears and electronic motors whirl to life as they sealed up the secondary door. A massive bash on metal was followed by several others along with a loud scream. Gamma didn’t care. Pain beyond measure rippled up from her leg, forcing her to limp down the staircase and through the menacing vault; to only god knows where.

“Open up! YOU ARE MEAT!”

Gemma shot straight up and looked at the few ponies that had dared to check out the newest booth in town. She felt something warm rush down her face, and it was only then that she noticed that she’d been crying. Thinking fast, she wrapped a towel around her face and hastily cleaned herself up. When she finished, all the ponies had dispersed and she groaned in annoyance.

Closing her eyes, she thought back to her past and started to internally chant. It’s in the past, and that’s not who you are anymore. My past cannot hurt me. Only I control my feelings.

“I know not of the dealings in your past,
but my expectations you have surpassed.
Your heart feels woe and your mind is nervous,
but to give in to despair will do you a disservice.
Keep calm and try not to freak out,
otherwise, your soul will be filled with doubt.”

Happy Halloween, and good luck with the writing!
(I didn't read much of the preview, though, partly from not wanting to be spoiled and partly from being quite busy myself at present; sorry.)

(What little I did see seemed intriguing, though, as I recall. :))
