My isolation has ended and I'm now free from my exile to the shadow realm.
I'm a little sore from not moving around much for the two weeks and then immediately longboarding again, but other than that I just slept a lot and never had any real issues with my health, despite testing positive.
So it seems like I live to write another day, all y'all oDaM fans are probably happy to hear that. On the topic, feel free to ask any questions about it, I'll see what tidbits I can tell.
To start, ever since the idea to switch the crush on Rarity to Sweetie Belle and having that drive the dynamic of Spike and Twilight to a more parent-child one, I knew that I had to do the heart to heart scene in the dark of the library. Twilight's concern over his behavior just felt right and a conversation just after walking in the door was sure to be imminent. Nothing the town could do then but listen.
That scene sat in my mind for a good... two and a half year? One and a half? It's a little fuzzy, but then the user Shirlendra invited me back to a writing group and the prompt "A Party to Be Forgotten" just begged to finally have oDaM see the light of day.
On the topic, Of Dragons and Maternity is the product of my absolute laziness in naming things and never having any idea what to title my work. More often than not it's just the first thing that comes to mind to loosely describe the premise.
I'm a sham, y'all had to find out at some point.

Will the intimate conversation be brought up again? Like in the form of slip up or whatever? I mean, it's like I want to know how Twilight will react when she know that her private talk with Spike wasn't private at all. It was what got me interested in the first place, to see her reaction when it happen.

Absolutely. I'm actually a little surprised that I still haven't written out one of the scenes I've been planning on that.
There have been inklings of the conversation's fallout here and there in rumors circling Ponyville and Rarity's moodiness. It's also most of the reason that they were getting harrassed at the morning market. That connection will be brought up in time. As for the pair themselves learning about the full truth of it, that may take a while but it's sure to happen eventually.
Next direct connection will be Pinkie Pie's next appearance most likely.

I've also sort of been focusing on Celestia, Spike and Twilight the past few chapters. The three who wouldn't be familiar with the conversation.
There should be more of a spotlight in the coming chapters on other characters that will know of it, though. If nopony else, at least Rarity is slated for some more appearances as the main focus. I think Applejack was also being considered.
