School starts back up in 9 days. I don’t know what’s in store for me this year, but I know it’s obviously going to take up a long period of time every day.
So, I wanted to write this little thing, just a little something about my FiMFiction profile.
I joined this website in 2018, and it’s probably going to be a surprise to some people reading this. I’ve gained some traction this year, to the point where no story of mine routinely gets under 50 views, and many of them break a hundred. It’s honestly pretty exciting to have my writing at least start to pay off a little.
A lot has happened this summer, I’ve joined Quills and Sofas, I’ve gained a love for RPGs, I’ve written a lot, and I just feel like I haven’t wasted the summer. I’ve also gotten my second featured story (my last one was in 2019).
So thus, I have to ask the question: where do I go from here?
My inspiration is dwindling, and I only have a couple of ideas left in my mind, one of which is going to be scary to write out and post (think Not Who I Thought I’d Be but using Reinn instead), and the other two being unfinished stories which I’ve ran into trouble writing. However, there might be another one depending on which prompt gets chosen for Quills and Sofas’ most recent challenge (I mean, you’ll be getting a story from that regardless, but you might get an extra one).
But honestly; my school isn’t a hotbed for inspiration, my state isn’t particularly exciting, and I can only see my productivity going down. I wonder if I’m going to enter the state I was in in 2020, which is basically comatose but still kinda alive.
All I can really give a definite on is that there is no definitive answer.
I wanted to write this blog post about all I’m going to do, but I genuinely don’t know. Sorry if it’s disappointing, but my future’s unclear, all I can hope is that school doesn’t ruin too many things.
