“I can’t believe I’m this much in debt,” Griff sighed, eyes widened as he looked down at the bistro table. He had successfully paid for Dante’s hospital bill a few weeks ago, but was most definitely struggling now. He was so out of it switching back and forth between jobs that he had three-day-old clown makeup on his face from that gig at the circus.
“Hey, kid! Wait up!” a voice from outside exclaimed.
“…who’s that?” He lifted himself up to look outside.
The doors opened, and a small nymph stumbled inside.
“Huh? What? Sis is that you?” he uttered, his eyes widening.
The nymph eventually stopped and looked up at him.
“Um…” he cringed a little upon looking at her physical appearance. “You look a bit…um…out of it…”
She didn’t say anything. Griff was just as silent as she was.
Soon enough, the doors opened again. With a soft jolt he peered over at the shop doors.
“There she is!”
“Undead Bez?” He asked with a quizzical expression, standing up from his seat.
“Oh, hey Griff.” She greeted him as she picked up the zombie-like Flutterwings and set her down on top of her carapace.
“Guessing she’s another one of your companions…?”
“Heheh… you could say that.” She lifted the nymph in front of her to face him with her aura as Dante soon entered the shop as well. “Heh. She’s just adorable, ain’t she?”
“You three look strangely domesticated for a family of zombies.”
Undead Bez merely shrugged in reply.
