I spent the last few days trying to come up with something for the Duo Duck Hunt and I think that I found something good enough.
The Hunter would be something like a modern time Lucky Luke (without the whole cowboy stuff), maybe a war veteran that decided to spend some of his time hunting ducks as a sport, getting better at targeting stuff through the years. However, not wanting to spread death unnecessarily, he only uses non-lethal ammunition to hunt the ducks. But his gun could switch to lethal ones if he wants.
The duck with the dog would be the first duck he hunted... and missed. The duck somehow became friend with the dog, and they rarely leave each other nowadays.
What do you think? It's the best I could come up with to explain a hunter with a dog and a duck joining the cast and for the dog to work together with one of the ducks he usually hunts.
These characters like Duo Duck Hunt, Ice Climbers, or Mr. Game and Watch are my bane. At least, Mr.G&W and R.O.B. have their Subspace Emissary incarnations to use, but for the others...
Well, Ice climbers, the fact that they can climb mountains like monkeys climb trees should be good enough of an excuse to make them interesting among the other characters, Duo Duck Hunt, I just told you...
This leaves Wii Fit Trainer, and I have NO FREAKING idea of what to do with them. The only idea I could come up with was so far fetched that I don't think this would work. The idea was that the Wii Fit Trainers would be some kind of biorobots or whatever created by I-don't-know-who to ensure that the characters would remain in tip top form for the battles.
I could simply come up with a planet where the inhabitants have white skin and no facial expression, but then, I would have to find out why a fitness trainer of all things would join the group.
So, if you have anything better for the Wii Fit Trainer... And maybe also for the Ice Climbers and Duo Duck Hunt if you think you have better ideas than what I just wrote, I'm ready to listen.
Remember, in Smash proper Ice Climbers and Wii Fit Trainer both have obvious magic. You can put them off until after Byleth joins if you need a better excuse for that.
Also worth mentioning:
The English term for this is "android" or "gynoid" for males and females respectively. Yes, I am at least as annoyed by this with regard to "Android" 18 as I am by the fact that she's actually a cyborg. The "I-don't-know-who" can be the same guys responsible for Mr. EAD, who are blatantly just Nintendo after having branched out (and remember that they started out making playing cards; they should totally make a commemorative Super Smash Bros-esque hanafuda deck)

As an aside from my own looking-things-up, the department of Nintendo that Mr. EAD was named after became the victim of a merger, so you even have a passable working name for them as Mr. and Ms. EPD. And between him and James McCloud, the universe in general should help to make her as nonchalant about alternate-universe counterparts of her friends as she appeared to be by Genocide Buster.
My guess is that WFT could be someone trying to invent a new style of martial arts to teach to the local police department while making ends meet as a fitness trainer.
Maybe be part of a race that is so ordinary that others would perceive them as a featureless race as some sort of ability to prevent others from identifying them.
Wii fit trainer could be a digital fitness instructor that somehow got brought into the real world.
Btw, will fnaf be visited or not, and if yes, will you use game theory’s lore or someone else’s?
Also, could you have sweetie belle visit what is effectively a Minecraft alt universe, the dream smp? if so, the tv tropes page has a great timeline, character description, and analysis.
Edit: just so you know, this does have some darker and edgier parts and also is more like a dystopian film than anything.

Basically a Minecraft improv roleplay with some scripted parts. It can get pretty dark but also has funny parts and has a LOT of plot twists. You should look it up yourself.

I will, thanks. The problem is that, while I understand well written English, I have more difficulty with oral English. So if these are videos, then it will be hard.
Same for Game Theory. While I would like to watch the videos, I have a lot of difficulty understanding what he says. So, for the lore of FNAF, I will have to use what I gathered myself from the games, wikis, and French Youtubers if I decide to use this universe.

I have a better idea for the Duck Hunt dog and duck. The duck could still be the first one the Hunter hunted, except that he did hit it. However, it fell into a pond or lake, and the dog jumped in to rescue it from drowning. The Hunter would make amends with the duck, and the duck would befriend the dog for saving it.
I might also have an idea for the Wii Fit Trainer, but this is far-fetched as well. It could be a cyborg initially created to instruct humans on staying fit, but a martial-arts master finds potential in it and teaches the Wii Fit Trainer how to use its fitness techniques to defend itself in combat. The Trainer learns quickly and even surpasses the martial-arts master.
As for the Ice Climbers, they could simply be a brother and sister who are exceptional at climbing frozen mountains, so they made it their goal to overcome the steepest, coldest, most dangerous mountains in the world... Metaphorical mountains included, which gives them a reason to join Sweetie Belle on her quest to stop the forces of light and darkness.

Actually, I think I have another idea that elaborates on my original idea for the Ice Climbers.
They could live in a simple log cabin somewhere in a cold, mountainous region, and they regularly fish in a nearby frozen lake to obtain food they cook over a campfire outside their cabin (the lake referencing the one with the big fish in the Iceberg stage in Super Smash Bros).
But one day, they saw a condor fly over the cabin with an eggplant in its talons. Out of curiosity, they followed it to an icy mountain, where they used their mallets and teamwork to climb to the top, gathering eggplants along the way. Once they reached the peak, they found the condor flying around the summit. With a well-timed jump, they grabbed it by the talons, and it carried them back to their home, thus completing their first mountain.
Once they got back home, they thanked the condor for leading them to more food to add to their stash. They had earned its respect, as they learned about a week later when the same condor stopped at their cabin to gain their attention before flying to a different mountain.
After climbing their second mountain and grabbing the condor's talons again, they came to a conclusion: the condor reigned over the mountains, and by grabbing its talons, they had conquered the mountain it was currently flying around.
Eventually, following the condor up mountains evolved into a sport, and Popo and Nana became known as the Ice Climbers.
